Harry Reid's Statement

I am absolutely livid at Harry Reid for his statement that "the Iraq war is lost." It is not lost! I heard this statement shortly after I signed my contract and was sworn-in. One of the first things mom heard on the way back home from the ceremony was his statement. I am outraged at this. What he said is very similar if not exact to what many Nazi Propaganda statements were during WWII. On the radio one would hear things like, "You cannot win," "You're outnumbered" and "You've lost the war anyway." If we lose this war, it will not be because of my brothers in arms. It will be because of these Iraqi extremist allies in Washington. In Iraq at reveille, the people like Harry Reid are trying to jerk the Colors out of the hands of the Color Guard and replace it with a white flag. Harry Reid has no place to say what he said. He is wrong. The War on Terror in Iraq is going well. The "drive-by" media chooses to only mention the negative. If you look for the negative in anything, that's what you will find. The war is being won and we will win it in the end if these idiots, like Harry Reid will give us a chance to do our job! My thanks to Sean Hannity for taking my call this past Monday to express my thoughts about this treasonous statement.

I dont entirely agree with Harry Reid on this, but if we're going to stay in war we need a better plan. Otherwise, we mine as well bring the troops home, instead of keeping them in harm's-way for nothing.

Granted, our troops are doing a great job, and I'm sure you would soon Justin, if called over there, but the plan they have from their Commander in Chief is beyond pathetic, if not just downright sad. Even if Bush does have a decent planned, he hasn't outlined it well because most Americans, that I've seen, aren't familiar with any course of action from him.

Nonetheless, God bless you with your military endeavors. I wish you the best, bro.

You are absolutely wrong. The current plan is working and we are winning this war. What's pathetic is Liberals that keep blaming every single negative thing about the war and everything else on President Bush. The last thing we should do is pull-out before everything is turned over to the Iraqis. That gives Al-Qaeda a time-table. The Democrats are a bunch of spineless terrorist allies who "own defeat" and would love nothing better than to force the U.S. to lose the war on the President's watch. You cannot say you support the troops and turn around and say you do not support the cause.

The war taking as long as it is is not "winning the war." If this were WWII, I could see it taking 4+ years, but not a little small thing like the Iraqi War, which is now coming close to the Vietnam War in time (Vietnam being the most time-wasted, worst war-decision in the history of our country, at the fault of a Democrat to your delight Justin).

You know, I don't by any means defend the Liberals, but sometimes they are "all negativity and wrongness" in the world that you may think they are. There are two sides to this: those who want to continue the war, and those who want peace. Those who want peace are not all Liberal, left-wing Democrats, unlike what you may have been led to believe. I want peace, not because of hate or intolerance, but because I love this country and I love our soldiers, and especially my fellow brothers like you Justin, I want yall to be safe. I don't feel its necessary for the soldiers to be in harm's way for an unjustified cause, winning or not.

Either way, just know that I support you. We can argue this for hours, days, years, however know, but I love you and support you and your efforts regardless of politics. Stay safe, and best wishes with your military future.

Yeah, well. We've only debated about this a million times. But I will say to pull out for so-called peace when the job isn't done would come back to bite us when Iraq becomes a safe-haven for Al-Quaida and terrorists. A lot of these politicians have no combat experience and are trying to tell generals how to do their job. This is a "justified war" and the same Dem. politicians who voted for the war and saw all the evidence presented are pulling "John Kerry's" and flip-flopping. I'm sick of this hypocritical bull and the garbage coming out of these people's mouths and so is America.

The War in Iraq is not occurring in a vacuum. If we pull out now, there will be consequential effects across the board in regard to foreign policy. A withdrawal at this point will not make people abroad "like" us, but it will lead them to question our strength and resolve. It will motivate and embolden our enemies, and lead them to believe that they're winning. Everyone else (Iran, China, etc.) will be watching and learning. We have to show the world that we've got grit.

If you mean what day I got on the Sean Hannity show, it was on April 23. If you join "Hannity Insider" at $4.95 a month (You can cancel anytime or it will automatically renew your subscription every 30 days), you can download that show and past ones. My comments are at time-stamp 1:07:10 for a ~2 min. segment.

I call for the resignation of Harry Reid!!!! He is a traitor who by the law should be taken out and hung!
Oh, by the way, we were at war for eight years with England during our War for Independence! You cannot set a specific number of years for a war and say that we have to win by this time. It just doesn't work that way. Bush is doing a great job!!!!

And, if we don't win it over there, it WILL come over here! All that Harry Reid's statement does is demoralize OUR troops and embolden the terrorists!
